We had a great training session on Sunday with Kaydense, Lisa, Joey and Daniel showing some great skill and determination during the game and making a great effort in training. Megan, Kelly, Jack and Luke showed why they are among the ones we should look out for in the future as they are showing great promise and talent. Sean, Eanna, Ben, Gearoid, and David concentrated well and in the passing drill showed excellent ability and carried that right through to the game. Well done to all the rest of the players, it was great to get some football after all the snow and snowmen, see you all next week where we will tell you about the arrangements for St Patricks Day Parade.

It was a very busy Sunday morning at John Mitchels sports complex this week with high numbers again with our U8 boys & girls and we are delighted that the snow didn’t keep anyone away from another great session. Don’t forget folks John Mitchels U8 boys and girls training continues every Sunday morning in our sports hall from 10.00am to 11.00 a.m.

U6 Boys and Girls (Born 2012 & 2013) Indoor Hall 11.00 am – 12.00 noon
U8 Boys and Girls (Born 2010 & 2011) Indoor Hall 10.00 am – 11.00 am
U10 Boys and Girls (Born 2008 & 2009) Astro Pitch) 10.00 am – 11.00 am
All children are invited to attend our Junevile training sessions. Even if they have never kicked a ball before the Club aims to give these kids fun, exercise, the skills to develop in football and also this training can be a fantastic confidence builder for kids from all backgrounds. They get to make friends outside of normal school circles and learn to become part of a team all under the supervision and encouragement of our Coaches and Mentoring staff. We at John Mitchels are planning a busy season for our Juveniles and we would ask parents if they have any feedback or suggestions. We are looking for parents to volunteer to give a handout on a Sunday morning and they can do so by contacting any of our Coaches or Mentors. All help would be greatly appreciated.
