Another Top Trad Act To Play Féile Lughnasadh in Milltown

Jiggy will play Féile Lughnasadh in Milltown this summer.

A TOP trad act will play a free concert as part of the Féile Lughnasadh which takes place in Milltown from July 28th to 31st.

Having already secured Sharon Shannon to play at the free, family-friendly festival on the Saturday night, the organizing committee are delighted to announce that ‘Jiggy’ will play on the gig-rig on Sunday night.

Jiggy continue the tradition of their musical ancestors while bringing a whole new exotic flavour to the table.

Jiggy’s mercurial line up mixes and melds Irish traditional music, world rhythms and cutting-edge dance grooves.

Jiggy took the internet by storm with their video ‘Silent Place’ celebrating the global togetherness of dance and to date it has clocked up more than 35 million views.

Their debut album ‘Translate’ went to number 1 in the world music charts in Ireland, United States, Canada, France, Australia, Poland & UK and they are now a big hit with festival audiences across the globe.

Organiser Owen O’Shea says, “you can experience this in Milltown free and open air on July 31st for what will undoubtedly be a truly unmissable performance.”

The festival will feature the best in local traditional talent over the weekend, with free concerts each night, ceilí, culture and mythology workshops, street entertainment, pub sessions, kids’ entertainment, drumming sessions and much more.
