192 New COVID-19 Cases Reported For Kerry This Evening

THERE were 192 new COVID-19 cases reported for Kerry in the health authorities’ daily update this evening. There were eight additional deaths reported nationally and 6,888 new cases.

The incidence in the county over the past 14 days is now 1,065.6 per 100,000 with 1,574 cases in the same period.

There are now 3,111 cases in Kerry since the start of the pandemic with today’s cases to be added tomorrow.

6,888 new cases over the past 24 hours were confirmed nationally by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).

2,088 in Dublin, 862 in Cork, 469 in Limerick, 405 in Wexford, 320 in Waterford and the remaining 2,744 cases are spread across all other counties

The number of people who have tested positive for the virus in the Republic of Ireland so far, now stands at 147,613.

There were eight further deaths from the virus reported this evening in Ireland. The total number of people who have died after contracting COVID-19 is 2,344.

As of 2pm today, 1,452 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 125 are in ICU. There have been 100 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
