Na GaeilBEST OF LUCK: Na Gaeil would like to wish, our members the very best of luck in their forthcoming state exams.

NA GAEIL U 12: Last Sunday we entertained Kilcummin  in Phase 2 of the County League. Both games provided great entertainment for supporters on the day.Na Gaeil continued their run of good form by beating Kilcummin in a hard fought encounter.

Na Gaeil took full advantage of a strong breeze in the first half and led by seven points at the break. The second half was a tight battle with both sets of defenders giving little away and scoring at either end was at a premium until the visitors hit a purple patch in the closing minutes and scored a goal and two points without reply.

Kilcummin ran out of time and Na Gaeil held on for another win. Na Gaeil 0.14 Kilcummin 1.5.

The corresponding game on pitch 2 saw Na Gaeil make good use of the strong wind in the first half and only for some fortunate goals from Kilcummin near the end of the first half we were unlucky not to  have led at half-time.

The second half saw Kilcummin edge ahead as the game went on but our boys never conceaded defeat.

They fought for every ball and continued to attack till the final whistle. Our best team performance of the year so far.

The final score of 6.19 to 5.15 in favour of Kilcummin is testament to an open and entertaining game.Training continues Thursday 7pm.

NA GAEIL U10:  Great turn our at training on Sunday last. Coach very happy with improvement in general play.Dont Forget next Sunday Playing Mitchells at 11am: Home.Venue.U10s Blitz will be orgainised for next week in Na Gaeil. Coach will send out details.

NA GAEIL U12 GIRLS: Despite the absence of some players our u-12 girls went down fighting to a strong Firies team on Sunday morning at Cillín.

We started strongly with a fine goal from Freya and led until after half time  but the mid Kerry girls held out to record their second win in a row.

Once again our corner forwards Siena and Emma were a constant threat to the opposition and were well supported by the very industrious Ciara and Eimer a d’imir le fuinneamh i Rith an cluiche.

Our full back line of Megan Síle and Clodagh have developed into a solid unit but even they could not withstand the waves of attacks from Firies who scored 2-1 in the space of two minutes half way through the second half.

Despite a late rally by us and some fine goalkeeping by Winnie we could not bridge the deficit.

However despite the loss Philip and Pa are very happy with the effort from all the panel. We continue to learn, we continue to work hard and if we continue with this progress we will be back in contention after our next two crucial games.
