Kerry Woman Wins €30,000 In Prizes On National Lottery Gameshow

LADY luck smiled on a Currow woman at the weekend when she won €30,000 in prizes on the Winning Streak gameshow on RTE.

Noreen O’Sullivan, Currow, was one of five players from Dublin, Galway, Kerry and Louth who won prizes to the value of  €245,000.

Noreen’s prize included a holiday to the Greek Islands worth €10,000. It’s not the first time she’ll be travelling courtesy of the National Lottery. In 2002, Noreen spent five days in Rome with Marty Whelan and others as part of ‘Come Fly with Marty’ gameshow.

Noreen, (62) lives with her husband of 38 years, Diarmuid on the family farm where she grew up in Currow.

The couple have two daughters – Joan (27) and Helen (34). Noreen and Diarmuid recently celebrated the arrival of their second grandchild, baby Orla, who was born eight weeks ago and joins big brother Rory (3).

Noreen enjoys country and Irish music, regularly attending shows in the INEC in Killarney. Her favourite singers include Daniel O’Donnell and Tommy Fleming.

She bought her winning ticket for the show in Kearneys Centra, Ballydesmond.
