POSITIVE news has emerged on the jobs front with the annoucement that JRI America are looking to entice 40 high skilled workers to fill jobs at its Software Development Centre in Tralee.
JRI America are located in the Kerry Technology Park, but also have offices in London, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore and New York.
They are a company that provides IT services for Japan’s second largest bank SMBC and the Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group.
Since the Tralee office was established in 2011 JRI America has grown rapidly, attracting both talented experienced staff as well as taking on graduates to train and develop.
The 40 jobs they are looking to be filled are in IT with salaries ranging from €26,000 to €100,000 a year.
The company Software Development Center is headed by Kerryman, Shane Walsh, who despite finding it difficult to coax young IT talent away from Dublin want’s to remain loyal to his home county.
Back in February, it was announced that Kerry Technology Park would get an estimated €20m investment for a new facility to attract a major industry.
The investment is part of a government €250m Regional Action Plan For Jobs which included plans for a major investment at the Kerry Technology Park, suitable for an advanced manufacturing facility.
