THERE has been another decrease in the number of people on the live register figure in Tralee.
The latest figures from the CSO for April show there were 4,931 people signing on in the Tralee area, down 77 from March (5,008).
This is the second month in a row the number has decreased, having seen a 179 drop between February and March.

There were 11,119 signing on countywide with all seven offices in Kerry reporting a fall in jobless numbers. The largest decrease was in Killarney where the figure fell by 183 to 1,777. The latest figures show Kerry’s Live Register has fallen by almost 13 per cent in a year.
The Tralee figure is a 9% drop on April 2014 when there were 5,438 signing on. During 2015, the figure peaked at 5,713 in August.
