The overall “What’s Your Story” school prize was won by the Ballyheigue school for their video ‘What does the internet mean to you?’.  Niall Calnan Walsh from Rochestown in Cork won the overall individual winner for his  video ‘The Out-ernet’.

“Students of St Joseph’s NS in Ballyheigue depicted the essence of this year’s campaign and we want to congratulate all of the children and their wonderful teacher, Mr Terence Dineen, for creating this fun, inspiring video,” said Avril Ronan, Global Program Manager for Internet Safety at Trend Micro EMEA.

“The entries really depict that young people see the internet in a very positive light. A place to share memories, leave a mark on the world, offering opportunities for everyone to expand their knowledge and potential while also being a great place to unwind”, said Ms Ronan. “It is so refreshing to see how young people – digital natives – view the online world and it is clear that they see it as a place to nurture creativity and success.
