Scór na nÓg Munster Champions    Congratulations to our very talented Léiriú Group who were this evening crowned  undisputed Munster champions following a faultless performance of the hilarious Mary Quirke penned “THE IRISH MAMMY” in Ovens, Cork against stiff opposition from Cork, Tipperary and Limerick.

Their performance was in a league of its own and the past few months of dedicated rehearsing finally reaped dividends. So Well Done to Barry Sugrue, Joshua Roche, Liam Óg Kingston, Emily and Isabelle Crowe, Dearbhla Quirke and Aine and Aoife O’ Sullivan. They now go forward to represent Na Gaeil, Kerry and Munster in the All Ireland Final of Scór na nÓg to be held on Saturday 17th February in Sligo.

A huge THANK YOU to Margaret Doody and Mary Quirke for all their hard work and commitment in guiding these talented youngsters on their long awaited quest for All Ireland glory! Na Gaeil Abú!

Very Well Done also to Dearbhla Quirke who performed her mother’s wonderfully scripted “My Moment of Glory” in the Recitation category to rapturous applause from a packed auditorium and was unlucky not to make it to the winner’s podium. However Dearbhla was on the victorious Léiriú winning group so she is nonetheless All Ireland bound! Well Done Dearbhla!

February Drama    As for the drama in February…..it’s One Murder and A Christening and it’s the sequel to the highly successful One Wedding and a Funeral from last year. It will be held in the club on the nights of the 23rd and 24th February.

As anyone who attended The Wedding last January will confirm, a fantastic night’s entertainment is guaranteed! Keep an eye on these notes for more details over the coming weeks.
