LISTOWEL Races continued on Monday and so did the fashion aspect with the Forever In Blue Jeans competition.

This fashionable and fun event attracted record entries with judge Timmy Dowd assigned a difficult task in deciding the winners.

Brothers Michael (6) and Christopher Hellard (4) had a very good day  winning the Under 16’s category in the competition sponsored by O’Connors Hardware and Farms Supplies.

Smartly dressed in race attire of warm autumn jackets and denim blue jeans they caught the judge’s eye and each went home €50 richer.

Margaret Coffey from Listowel proved to be a winner alright in the adult category and won €200 for her stylish denim ensemble of a jacket and matching skirt from Pamela Scott with an embellished blouse from Blossom in Listowel, accessorised with red jewellery and heels.

This is the third year of O’Connors sponsorship of this fashionable and fun event and the prizes were presented by Sadie and Larry O’Connor.
