The Tralee Rock, Blues and Motorcycle festival takes place this weekend.

MEADOWLANDS Hotel is the venue for the 6th annual Tralee Rock, Blues & Motorcycle Festival this weekend from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 11.

Held in aid of Kerry S.P.C.A. , the event is run by the Gin Palace Bar-Stewards who have organised an exciting line up of entertainment over the weekend.

The Festival kicks off on Friday at 8pm with In the Black followed by Mario.  The headline for the evening is the Inglorious Bar-Stewards.

On Saturday afternoon there will be a ride out from the hotel followed by a bike show with trophies and prizes.

Stalls will be open throughout the day.  The evening kicks off with Pa Barry at 7:00pm followed by Martin Cummins, Mudcat Blues Band and then the headline band for the festival, Chapter 2.  There will be a major raffle, party games and presentation of trophies and prizes throughout the evening.

Sunday will see a more relaxed pace with an early Blues session in Johnny Frank’s Bar to end the festival.

The festival is for charity with all profits going to Kerry S.P.C.A., a 24 hour, 365 day a year service providing shelter to neglected and injured animals.

The organisation is completely run by volunteers and relies heavily on public donations and fundraising to assist in the prevention of cruelty to animals.

K.S.P.C.A. has been on the go since 1960 and in that time thousands of animals and birds have been rescued and each with its own story.

The festival will raise badly needed money to keep K.S.P.C.A in operation and help with essential kennel and cattery upgrades.  For more information please contact 066 718 0444 or info@meadowlandshotel.com. For donations, please contact www.kerryspca.org.
