The minors who were the opening act.

They are an exemplary bunch of young guys and a pleasure to work with. Well Done to our Minor Champions. Thanks a million, to our 3 Judges who took time out from their busy schedules to join us on the night.

We really appreciate it and they certainly seemed to enjoy the night – Michael Healy-Rae TD, Cllr. Aoife Thornton and Brian Purcell, proudly flying the Black and Amber flag. Alan Teahan, our MC on the night and now officially an Abbeydorney man.

Thanks for everything over the past few weeks and for your professional job on the night. You certainly kept the show going. D’Unbelievables, Niall O’Mahoney and Sean O’Donoghue, who entertained the audience superbly throughout the show. Thanks again to you both for the laughs. To all 8 Acts, special word of thanks for committing the time and effort over the past 8 weeks to Battle of the Parish 2.

The dedication and enthusiasm shown by all the participants at rehearsals was remarkable and it showed in the top-class performances on the night. Cassie Leen – the lady who put the groups through their paces since the beginning of September. From the committee and all the participants, a massive thank you for your commitment and dedication to Battle of the Parish 2 over the past 8 weeks.

The endless hours of rehearsals really showed in the top-class performances by all the groups on the night. Special mention also to Brenda Dowling who assisted with some of the groups and was responsible for the script-writing on “The Field”, Thank you to Ballyroe Heights Hotel, especially Jonathan and Patrick who facilitated and accommodated us with anything we needed for rehearsals and on the night.

Thanks also to Teahan Sound and Lighting, David O’Sullivan-Photographer and Tom Hanafin-Video for their professionalism throughout the show. Finally a special word of thanks to the background team for rehearsals and on the night. From the guys who setup the stage @ 5am, to the guys on props, the ladies on microphones, the guys in the Green Room and on the door and to everyone else who helped out in any way to make BOTP happen. A job well done.
