Abbeydorney Under 10s at the Indoor Hurling Blitz.
U10s : Our U10s participated in an Indoor Hurling Blitz last Saturday morning in John Mitchels Complex organised by Giles O’Grady, Kerry County Board. We played Lixnaw, Kilmoyley and Tralee Parnells with some great skills on display.
COACHING IN SCHOOLS : Aidan Leahy has commenced hurling coaching in Abbeydorney and Killahan Schools every Friday. This will continue for the next 10 weeks. Times : Killahan NS – 12pm to 1pm. Abbeydorney NS – 2pm – 3pm.
COLLEGES HURLING : Well Done to Michael Slattery and Ronan Donovan who were part of the IT Tralee team that defeated Queens University in Round 2 of the Ryan Cup. They will now play UUJ in the semi-final on Friday, Feb 22nd .
INTER-COUNTY : Niall O’Mahoney, Michael O’Leary, Jamesie O’Connor and Michael Slattery will be part of the Kerry team to play Mayo this Sunday, 17th Feb. in Round 3 of the National Hurling League Div. 2A, in Austin Stacks Park @ 2.00pm.
REFEREE COURSE : Kerry is experiencing a shortage of referees for matches at all ages. If you are interested in becoming a referee please contact Club Secretary JoAnn Murphy 087-9893133. A Foundation Level Course for new Referees, or those who haven’t been active for a while and wish to attend, will be held in Centre of Excellence in Currans on Friday 8th and Friday 15th February at 7.30pm.
