U6/U8 TRAINING : Our U6s and U8s will start back training this Sunday, 24th February from 12pm to 1pm in the Community Hall, across from the School. All boys and girls interested from ages 4 to 8 are welcome.

FÉILE 2019 : It has been confirmed that Kerry GAA will co-host Feile Na nGael with Cork GAA this year. Abbeydorney Hurling Club are privileged to be participating in this competition while also hosting a team from another county on the weekend 7th/8th/9th June. Feile Na nGael is a fantastic sporting, cultural and social event involving approx. 25,000 boys and girls from all 32 counties and abroad. This is a wonderful experience for our young players that will livelong in their memories. To get the ball rolling on the organisation plans for this event, the club will hold a meeting for all parents involved on Tuesday, 26th Feb @ 8.00pm in The Complex.

COACHING IN SCHOOLS : Hurling Coaching continues every Friday in Abbeydorney and Killahan Schools with Aidan Leahy. Times : Killahan NS – 12pm to 1pm. Abbeydorney NS – 2pm – 3pm.

COLLEGES HURLING : Best of luck to Michael Slattery and Ronan Donovan who are part of the IT Tralee team that will play UUJ in the semi-final of the Ryan Cup this Friday, Feb 22nd .

INTER-COUNTY : Well Done to Niall O’Mahoney, Michael O’Leary, Jamesie O’Connor and Michael Slattery who were part of the Kerry team that played Mayo last Sunday, 17th Feb. in Round 3 of the National Hurling League Div. 2A, in Austin Stacks Park, coming away with a comfortable victory on a scoreline Kerry 3-18 Mayo 0-09. They will play London, in Ruislip this Saturday, 23rd Feb. in Round 4.

DEVELOPMENT SQUADS : Abbeydorney are well represented on the county hurling development squads for 2019. At U14 level, Calum O’Sullivan, Kian Sheehan and Damian Hogan are part of the panel with Kieran Dineen as manager. Peter Hinchliffe, Darragh O’Connell and Jack Hannon are with the U15 squad. At U16 level, Gavin Slattery, Oisin Maunsell, Jedd Maunsell and Breanndáin Walsh are on the panel and with the U17s we have Mikey Clifford, Tomás Ó hAiniféin, Ruairi Donovan and Jack Sheehan.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP : Membership for 2019 is now open. Having introduced online registration in 2018, this year the club are hoping to complete all registrations online. Adult : €60, Juvenile(9-18) : €25, Academy(U6/U8) : €15. You can access online registration here :
