MENTAL HEALTH : At Abbeydorney GAA Club, we take the mental wellbeing of our young players seriously and we are committed to providing information/support around mental health to both players and individuals within the local community.

As a result, we have organised for Jigsaw Kerry, a centre for young mental health, to provide an educational talk to parents/guardians and coaches/mentors involved with the young members in our club. The talk is aimed at helping you understand the signs, interventions and services available for anyone encountering mental health challenges. Duration : 1 Hour. Over 18s ONLY. The talk will take place in Abbeydorney Community Hall on January 19th @ 7.00pm.

COACHES/MENTORS : The following coaches have been selected for the coming season. U6/U8 : Brian Donovan, William O’Leary, U10/U12 : Mikey Leahy, Gerry Treanor, Tom Fitzmaurice, U14 : Tom O’Connell, Mike Griffin, Aidan Leahy, U16 : Brian Murphy, Aidan Healy, Eoin Egan, Minor : Tony Maunsell, Junior : William O’Leary, Senior : Ian Maunsell. The club would like to thank them for volunteering their time and wish them every success for the year ahead.

INTER-COUNTY HURLING : Well done to Niall O’Mahoney who lined out for Kerry in their historic 10 point victory over Cork in Round 3 of the Munster Hurling League played in Austin Stacks Park last Sunday afternoon. This was Kerry’s first competitive victory over Cork at Senior Level. Jamesie O’Connor and Brendan O’Leary are currently injured.

SENIOR CLUB AWARDS NIGHT : The Club Awards night will take place on Saturday, 3rd February in The Complex. Music and Food will be provided on the night.
