GOOD news for jobs as Abrakebabra have announced they are back in business again, less than a week after closing it doors.

On Tuesday it was revealed the fast food restaurant on Bridge Street had to close because of high insurance costs.

However, a statement from Abrakebabra Tralee says that they are now in a position to reopen as of this Thursday evening from 6pm.

“This is possible thanks to the support of Abrakebabra Ltd. and a long standing associate. We would like to thank everybody for their support over the past week and look forward to serving our customers again,” said a spokesperson for the Tralee business.

Abrakebabra at Tralee Shopping Centre on Bridge Street is operating for 22 years in town and employs 10 people.

Speaking to Radio Kerry on Tuesday, Cllr Terry O’Brien, whose sister in law Sandra owns the business, said she couldn’t get a realistic quote from an insurance company and was quoted €30,000 this year, almost triple what they paid last year. The insurance issue has now been resolved.
