Aisling Gets Her Lost Rings Back Two Years Later

WHEN an employee at Cara Credit Union lost her wedding and engagement rings on Fenit beach two years ago, she had lost all hope of recovering them.

But with the help of the Gardaí, Aisling O’Connor was reunited with the bands this week. Her colleague in Cara Credit Union, Kate Walsh, saw pictures of the lost property on the Garda Síochána – Cork, Kerry & Limerick – Southern Region facebook page and thought they might be Aisling’s rings.

Lo and behold they were Aisling’s and she collected them from Elaine Burke at Castleisland Garda Station on Monday.

Aisling wanted to say a massive thank you to the person who handed in the rings and for the extensive efforts made by Elaine and all at Garda Síochána for going above and beyond to find the owner.
