Alan Scoops Thousands In Ballymac Lotto Draw

THERE was happiness in the Freeman household last night as they collected a cheque for a cool €8,200 thanks to Ballymacelligott GAA.

Tralee native, Alan Freeman, of Freeman Electrical Services, has lived with his family in Kielduff since 2008.

He bought his the Ballymac GAA annual lotto ticket in early June and the following day his numbers came up in the draw.

“When they told me I thought it was a wind-up,” said Alan, a regular supporter of the club’s lotto, who plans to spend the winnings on doing up the garden.

Last night he and his family went to nearby Glenduff Manor, where members of Ballymac GAA presented him with his winnings.

“It hasn’t been won in two years so we’re delighted that he won it,” said Chairman of Ballymac GAA, Jeremiah Lynch.
