Aldi at John Joe Sheehy Road.
GERMAN supermarket giant, Aldi, intends to apply to Kerry County Council for planning permission to extend their premises at John Joe Sheehy Road.
The development will consist of a single storey extension of 264 square metres to the eastern elevation of the existing store for use as retail floorspace and a single storey extension of 25sqm to the southern elevation for use as a meeting room.
The proposed extensions will require the relocation of bicycle stands, signage, store entrance, trolley bays and a reduction in parking spaces from 120 to 112. The Aldi store opened on John Joe Sheehy Road in November 2013. It has a second Tralee outlet in Rathass.
