Allanagh To Represent Ireland In World Skills Final In Russia

A LIXNAW teenager will go on to represent her country in the World Skills Final in Russia later this year after winning the national competition at the weekend.

Kerry ETB trainee, Allanagh O Sullivan from Lixnaw won the national title in the beauty therapy category at the Ireland Skills Live competition in the RDS in Dublin.

At just 17 years old, Allanagh was the¬†youngest competitor at the national finals and just started training under Tara O’Halloran at the Kerry ETB Training Centre in Monavalley four and a half months ago.

“She was the youngest of the 150 competitors in the 25 different categories and she nailed it on the day. She was up against competition from Dublin and Waterford College of Further Education second years and she remained focussed throughout to win it,” said Instructor Tara O’Halloran.
