IF you were out for a few drinks last night, we hope you were in The Blasket!
Here’s what happened. A few Americans, who were golfing in Kerry, came into the bar at about 10pm and one of them ordered a drink for the bar. While it was very quiet around this time, this was not nothing too out of the ordinary.
However, as people started to come in, the same guy bought them drinks to and eventually told the barman to run a tab. The Blasket gets busy on Tuesdays and by the end of the night he and the rest of the bar had run up a €2,500 bar bill.

What’s more is he tipped the staff another €2,000 between them!
George Savage of The Blasket was delighted with the American’s generosity. “We’re normally busy on a Tuesday anyway, but it was a huge bonus for the lads working. It was a nice touch.”
