THE annual Jamie Wrenn walk will take place from Tralee to Castlegregory on July 22 and this year another Castlegregory man will be remembered.

This walk raises much needed funds for Recovery Haven cancer support house and we are asking people to walk on the day or to support a walker so we can raise as much as we can for this fantastic charity.

The walk started in 2010 and has grown from strength to strength since, raising a total so far in excess of €70,000 for local cancer charities.

The name of the walk has been amended this year to include the late Mike Deane who sadly passed away in March.

He was a much loved Castlegregory native who was a key contributor and heavily involved with the walk over the years. This year the walk will be in memory of both Mike Deane and Jamie Wrenn.

The walk will leave from the Aqua Dome car park at 10:00am (walkers are urged to please use the Brandon car park for parking facilities).

Busses on the day will be provided by Mike’s family.

Organisers are asking everyone, young and old to join them on July 22nd for what is sure to be another great day out.

There will be a bus hop on/off facility en route and 3 refreshment stops in Curaheen, The Junction Bar, Camp and finishing with a barbeque and live music in Maurice Fitzgearld’s pub, Castlegregory.

If anyone has any enquiries please don’t hesitate to contact Mary Lynch 087 1332179, Sandra Finn 083 8421418 or Aron Deane 087 2734137.

Sponsorship cards are available from Paco Tralee, Recovery Haven, Mary Lynch, Sandra Finn and Jessica Deane.
