THE residents of Milltown were awoken this morning to the news that one of them could be Ireland’s latest EuroMillions Plus top prize winner of €500,000 following Friday night’s EuroMillions draw.

The winning retailer which was Kelly’s Londis store in the town has also proved that lightning can strike twice as it previously sold a €1 million Daily Million top prize to one of its lucky customers last February.

Seamus Kelly who owns the lucky Londis store said: “I was on my way to play a round of golf this morning when the call came through from the National Lottery. The news that we had sold yet another winner absolutely blew my socks off – I can’t even begin to imagine how the actual winner is feeling this morning! I’m just absolutely speechless, honestly I am.”

“When we sold the €1 million Daily Million prize last February, there was so much excitement in the town that it felt like we all won the lottery. This is a small close-knit community so to get two big National Lottery winners in the space of six months is magical for us all down here. It really is a once in a lifetime win so my advice to the winners is to savour this moment for the next few days before they make any major spending plans for their new found fortune.”

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers which are worth a half million euro to one lucky player were: 14, 26, 30, 42, 50.

This €500,000 EuroMillions Plus win is the latest National Lottery top prize to be won in the Kingdom in 2020 with six lucky winners sharing over €12.7 million in top prizes. Amazingly, these six top prize wins were shared by just three lucky retailers in Glenbeigh, Milltown and Killarney. They are:

• €9.7 winner of the Lotto jackpot sold at Daly’s Supervalu, Killarney on 18th April.
•  €1 million Daily Million top prize win at Kelly’s Londis in Milltown on 4th February.
•  €500,000 EuroMillions Plus win at Sheahan’s Centra store in Glenbeigh on 28th February.
• €500,000 EuroMillions Plus win at Sheahan’s Centra store in Glenbeigh on 31st March.
• €500,000 EuroMillions Plus win at Daly’s SuperValu in Killarney on 14th April.
•  €500,000 EuroMillions Plus win at Kelly’s Londis on 17th July 2020.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “We encourage all of our EuroMillions players who purchased a ticket for Friday night’s draw to check their tickets carefully. If you are the lucky winner of last night’s EuroMillions Plus top prize, please sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie , and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize when it is safe to do so.”
