KERRY’S Winning Streak continues this week as Killarney woman Angela O’Sullivan will appear on the 1,000th episode of the hit National Lottery gameshow this weekend.

This comes after Oakpark, Tralee resident Jimmy Kelly won €22,000 in prizes on the RTE1 show on Saturday night last.

Angela  had just arrived home from evening mass with her husband Pat on Saturday evening when Winning Streak had started.

She had only settled in to relax and watch the show when she heard her name being drawn out. She leapt up out of the chair and nearly hit the roof.

Angela (45) is a Duty Manager in the Fairview Hotel, a 33 bedroom hotel in Killarney and is a very active lady. Angela loves golfing (playing at Killarney Golf Club with Pat), swimming, cycling and boating. Her and Pat have their own motorboat which they use to cruise on the Killarney lakes when the weather is fine.

Angela and Pat are childhood sweethearts and have been married for the past 27 years but have been together since they were teenagers. The other special someone in Angela’s life is hers and Pat’s beloved miniature pinscher dog, Dexter who will be watching from home.

Her parents, Ann and Michael, as well as her two siblings will be coming to support her. Her sister Marie and her partner Lorenzo and their two children will be cheering from the audience along with her brother Michael and his partner Emily.

With her winnings Angela plans to split them 50:50 with her mum as they always go halves on scratch cards and will look after the rest of the family.
