Another Rise In Kerry, 142 More COVID-19 Cases Nationally

THE official number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county since the start of the pandemic is now 326 and Kerry is one of 16 counties with new cases announced at the daily briefing this evening.

142 new cases over the past 24 hours were confirmed nationally by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) this evening.

59 are in Dublin, 20 in Kildare, 14 in Donegal, 14 in Limerick, eight in Wexford, six in Tipperary and the remaining 21 cases are located across 10 other counties — Carlow, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Laois, Louth, Mayo, Meath and Wicklow.

The number of people who have tested positive for the virus in the Republic of Ireland so far, now stands at 28,720.

There were no additional deaths from the virus reported this evening in Ireland.  The total number of people who have died after contracting COVID-19 is 1,777.
