MET Éireann has issued another Status Yellow – Snow/Ice warning for Ireland. However, it looks like Kerry will escape the low temperatures.

They say scattered showers of hail, sleet and snow, and icy stretches will arrive on Thursday evening, Thursday night and Friday morning. This will lead to hazardous travelling conditions in some parts of the country.

Showers will be most widespread in the west and north of the country where some accumulations are likely. Isolated thunderstorms will occur also.

The warning is valid from 4pm on Thursday to 11am on Friday. However, looking at the Met Éireann website, Kerry will not see freezing temperatures on Thursday night/Friday morning, with a low of 2 degrees predicted for the Tralee area.

It will be wet however with heavy showers forecast for Thursday afternoon, night and into Friday. The weekend doesn’t look good either with a lot of rain forecast and temperatures in single figures for much of the weekend.
