WE had a rainfall one yesterday and now it’s time for the wind.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow Wind warning for Kerry, Galway and Mayo to take effect from tonight.
Southerly winds, veering southwesterly, will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h with gusts of up to 100km/h, higher in coastal areas and on high ground.
Localised wave overtopping is possible. The warning is valid from 8pm tonight until 8am on Saturday morning.
