U11

Our U11 footballers had their Rd 2 Go Games match against Ballyduff GAA on Thursday evening at the Ballyduff GAA grounds.  The boys are in the Jason Foley/Jack Barry Lee group.

Every player showed great improvement and confidence on the ball.  Played with a strong wind blowing down the field our boys quickly adapted to the conditions with some passages of hand passing and low balls into the wind.  There was also some mighty defending on display.  Both teams got some excellent scores with all players getting plenty of game time.

Again, we would like to thank our wonderful coaches for their commitment and dedication to our young players and also to our wonderful parents/grandparents/supporters for always supporting these fabulous bunch of young players.

We are at home to Moyvane GAA in Rd 3 next Thursday 24th June @ 6.30pm.

Keep up the good work and keep practicing your football skills in your back garden during the week.

U13

A busy day of Under 13 football took place on Sunday 20 June. First up was our Under 13b team who were up against Listowel Emmets in Ardfert. We started well and were never to relinquish our lead. It was great to see all they had worked on in training put into action with great running and tackling and some fantastic scores. A great win in the end for Ardfert. Final score Ardfert b 4-15 Listowel b 4-6

Our A team travelled to Ballyduff on Sunday evening. They met a very physically strong Ballyduff team but with some more accurate shooting the result could have been very different. Ardfert showed great spirit in tough weather conditions but could not peg back a very good Ballyduff team. Final Score Ballyduff 4-9 Ardfert 0-04.

Next Sunday both teams will play Kerins O’Rahillys in Ardfert.

U15

Our U15s played very well against Spa Gaa in their second game in Div 1 of the County League this evening. They put up a score of 3-10 but unfortunately were beaten by 4 points. Final score Ardfert 3-10 Spa 5-8. We are away to Legion next Wednesday, 23rd June.

U17

Another exciting game for our U17s in Glenflesk in Div 1 Rd 2 of the County League. A very sporting contest ended on a scoreline of Glenflesk 2-15 Ardfert 5-6. Well done to both teams. We host Dr Crokes in the final group game on Monday 21st June.

Please bring mouthguards & water to training/games.
