Speaking to us, an unnamed person from the film says; “we are looking for people of all ages, backgrounds, male and female and above the age of 18. We welcome everyone in their 20’s, 30’s, 40’s 50’s, 60’s and so on. We just want to sit down and have a chat with them, and if they have a prepared piece, then they should bring that. Also, if you have no experience in acting, that is okay too. If you have experience, then that is a bonus. We are looking for raw fresh talent of all ages”.

The open auditions will take place from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, December 18 at the Grand Hotel in Tralee. All welcome.

  1. Have some experience of the industry and this seems a little suspicious. You haven’t even given the name of the production company. Whatever about the big names hinted at , the lack of details does not fit with normal industry practice.

    • Well I’m not sure if this was all a tasteless joke today but I was there from 2 till 6pm today in a very long que of people who got to play the longest game of musical chair’s unfortunately without the music
You literally would have had to been there to experience it first hand
Personally having sat there and felt the fury of some of the people I truly hope we get a part of dome type
It was some experience to put it mildly
No body to meet or greet and tell the rows of people now sitting and standing in big numbers where to go what to do
It was indeed no way organised or pleasant to endure the more than 4 hours without so much as a drink of water being offered
This is my short version of this story
I’m so not impressed with the way in which this was thrown together .

I did bring it to the attention of the 3 people at the audition who by this time seemed quite burned out themselves
they stopped auditing and quickly took a photo
Who simply said they didn’t expect the large attendance
      But I said simply
That’s what happens when it’s advertised on social media

Disappointed to be told that auditions were closed when I arrived at 3:50pm . It’s advertised that the auditions will take place between 2-5 pm .

I understand it’s first come first served ,but to close an hour and 10 minutes before the advertised finishing time is unfair on those who couldn’t arrive earlier due to work .

    • I’d imagine by approximately 3.30 they were over run with people

But hey its like if a person advertises a birthday party on social media a whole lot of people are bound to see it and possibly turn up
I was so not impressed at all by the way it was Not run

  3. P’s
I don’t remember reading anything at all about it being on a first come basis Paraic Bermingham

  4. Tim landers says:
