CORONAVIRUS – COVID 19:  A Club initiative, instigated by members of our Senior Men’s team, which we have named the Austin Stacks GAA Club Community Response, and who have secured offers of help from almost 40 volunteers to date, want to assist those in our community that need our help.

Our volunteers are on hand to help with the collection of necessities such as food, fuel and prescriptions.

If you or a family member is in need of help please contact or text Ciara at 086 0690145 or Wayne at 087 6283308 and a member of our team will be in contact.

Other club news…

SENIOR FOOTBALL: With everything put on hold for the foreseeable future all we can do at this stage is to keep reminding ourselves of the postponed fixtures that remain to be played (if at all) in all grades.

In the Town League we have to play Kerins O’Rahillys (away) and John Mitchels (away) and a Final if we qualify. In the County League we have to play Spa Killarney (away) in round 2

There is a break now in Co. League action until mid May – our next Co. League game will be at home to Killarney Legion in round 3. In the meantime the Club Championship is due to get underway on the first week-end of April) There are eight teams in the Senior Club competition, divided into two groups of four.

Group 1 consists of Dr. Crokes, Kenmare Shamrocks, Kerins O’Rahillys and Templenoe. We are in Group 2 along with Dingle, Kilcummin and Killarney Legion. Our first game will be against Dingle at a neutral venue.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL: We have only one back game to play in the Co. League and that’s an away game against Cromane. In the scheduled round 3 game we are at home to Cordal on 17th May.

MINOR FOOTBALL: In the Town League we have two outstanding games to be played against Na Gaeil (away) and Kerins O’Rahillys (home). So far we have only played one game in the Co. League – that was away to Laune Rangers (Rangers won that game by 3-1 to 0-6). Our four postponed games are against Rathmore (home), Dr. Crokes (away), Na Gaeil (home) and Legion (home).

CLUBHOUSE: Our Bar and Clubhouse will be closed now until further notice.

CARDS: Likewise our 45 Card Sessions on Monday and Thursday nights are being cancelled for the time being.

LOTTO: Last Night’s (16th March) Jackpot, worth €13,400, was not won. The numbers drawn were 11, 12, 20, 31.
