PEIL FAOI 6: Under 6 training in Caherslee: (i) 11am on Sunday and (ii) 5.45pm on Thursday. See you all, boys!

CORP CHRÍOST: The Corpus Christi Procession will be welcomed at the Austin Stack Club, Connolly Park, on Sunday next (18th). The procession will depart from Fr Pádraig’s church, the Church of Our Lady and St. Brendan, after the 12.30pm Mass.

Benediction will take place on our pitch. All U8/10/12 boys are asked to line the route into our club grounds; all players and friends are invited. Cuirimis fáilte mhór roimh Chorp Chríost. Another special occasion in our centenary year! Texts to follow with details.

PEIL FAOI 8: (i) Our Sunday morning playing time has been CHANGED to 12.00 in CONNOLLY PARK. (ii) Na Gaeil hosted the Under 8 GoGames blitz on Wed (14th) at 6.30pm…buíochas leis an gclub. (iii) More GoGames in the coming week.

PEIL FAOI 10: Football times: (i) mid-week training at 6.30pm in Caherslee and (ii) and at the LATER time of 12.00 in CONNOLLY PARK on Sunday.

PEIL FAOI 12: (i) Our A and B TEAMs played at home v An Ráth Mhór in the Lee Strand County League. Well done, lads! Upcoming A TEAM and B TEAM games: Sunday next (18th)~ at home (2pm) v Neidín. (ii) C Team (Division 9) fixtures: Our game v An Chúil has to be resheduled; Sunday next (18th)~ at home v Valentia (Béal Inse); Wednesday 21th~ a bye; Sunday 25th~ away v Naomh Pádraig. Gach cluiche ag 6pm. (iii) Under 12 training as arranged.

PEIL FAOI 14: (i) U14A Central Region: we’ll be at home to Laune Rangers on Monday 19th June. (ii) U14B Central Region: we’ll be away v Laune Rangers on Monday 19th June. (iii) Our John WestFéile Peile na nÓg boys are working hard for and looking forward to their impending trip to Sligo to take part in Division 1.

They’ll travel up on Friday 23rd June and return on Sunday 25th June. Off the field, our club Coiste na Féile (Hazel Heinrich, Orla Foley and Eileen Nagle) is working financial wonders with a fundraising drive that will see our boys well equipped for the big occasion. All contributions/financial help gratefully accepted!

Games will be played at the Sligo GAA Centre of Excellence at Scarden (5km from Sligo Town) and at other venues in the town, such as St Mary’s and St John’s GAA Clubs. It is expected that the finals will take place at Markievicz Park. Sligo has been chosen as ‘European City of Volunteering 2017’.

Division 1 will take place in Sligo butDivisions 2 to 10 will be played i gCúige Uladh (Fear Manach/Muimhneachán/An Cabhán). Go n-éirí go maith le buachaillí na Carraige agus lena dtraenálaithe.

PEIL FAOI 15: We nearly pulled off a Munster success in the big SuperTouch 10-a-side tournament in Mallow on Saturday last. The squad of Ben Quilter, Conor Kavanagh, Greg Scanlon, Rian Costelloe, Jordan Kissane, Adam Curran, Cian Purcell, Shane Bastible, Conor Horan, Niall Fitzmaurice, Peter Kearns and Mervyn Shalamba fought through the group stages and had two good wins.

They had a semi-final victory over Douglas but, unfortunately, went down to Buttavent in the final. Well done, boys! [Buttavent = Butez en Avant (‘Strike Forward’ – motto of the de Barra family!) or Cill na Mullach (Church of the Heights].

FAOI 16: (i) Lee Strand County League Division 1 fixtures: Round 1 – Wednesday next (21st June): AdeS A (at home) v Rathmore; Round 2 – 28th June: Neidín v AdeS A (away); Round 3 – 19th July: Crokes v AdeS A (away); Round 4 – 26th July: Legion v AdeS A (as baile); 2nd August: AdeS A (ag baile) v Laune Rangers. All games at 7pm. Semi-finals: 9th August; Final: 16th August. (ii) Under 16 County League Division 7: AdeS B (away) v Finuge at 7pm on Wednesday next (June 21st).
