FÉILE PEILE NA nÓG – FAOI 14: (i) Our Under 14 boys and mentors travelled to Sligo last weekend as Kerry’s representatives in the John West Féile Peile na nÓg. They had a great start at Féile.

In game 1they defeated St Eunans (Tír Chonaill)…0-1 to 8-7. In their second game they had to play at their best to overcome Skerries (BÁC)…0-19 to 4-5. Goals win matches! In the semi-final they played Rossa Gaels (Magherafelt, Derry).

It was a magnificent game that ended in a draw in normal time. A late goal by our boys in the extra time put The Rock on level terms but, faraor géar, Rossa Gaels went to the fore again with another goal! Our dreams were dashed!

Final score: AdeS: 3-6; Gaeil Rossa: 3-9.

It was a great trip and a great experience for our lads. They can take comfort from the fact that they are among the best FOUR U14 teams in Ireland!

Ní scéal olc é sin! Well done, all. The club is proud of you all. And well done to mentors and supporters. You have represented both the Green’n’Gold and the Black’n’Amber with distinction!
