PEIL FAOI 6/8/10: (i) We’ll be in Caherslee as usual next Sunday at 11am for football fun. Everybody welcome. (ii) The Thursday night football sessions for the Under 6/8/10 groups continue this week…17th May. These are great sessions and are much enjoyed by the participants. Starting time for the Under 6 boys and the Under 8 fellows is 5.45pm. Starting time for the Under 10 footballers is 6.30pm. Venue: Caherslee.

RÁTH RÓNÁIN & AN tSEANCHILL: Wednesday is D-day and rendezvous is at 6.30pm for our sessions at the Shanakill/Rathonane Community Centre! The 50 or so youngsters are really enjoying their peil Ghaelach! Bíonn siad ag baint sult as na seisiúin traenála. Just come along, a bhuachaillí agus a chailíní, on Wednesday ag leathuair tar éis a sé.

PEIL FAOI 11: Mentors and players rose early….ar ghlaoch na fuiseoige agus an ghealbhain….on Sunday morning last and set off for the Kilmacud-Croke Club’s multi-county blitz in Dublin. What a day! It was a really great trip and the day saw our lads going through the blitz unbeaten! We had wins over the hosts and over Celbridge, Newtown Blues and Cuala. This was invaluable experience for our lads and many thanks to all the well-behaved skilful players, brave mentors and enthusiastic parents who travelled. Lá dár saol a bhí ann!

PEIL FAOI 12: Excellent performances from all, last week, saw County League victories v Laune Rangers (A and B ) and v Club Naomh Pádraig (C). The A team maintained its unbeaten run and finished in front on a scoreline of 4-16 to 4-9.

Another brilliant team effort from everyone in this very committed and enthusiastic group (A and B) had supporters eagerly awaiting the final league matches v Na Crócaigh on Wednesday in Killarney! The B team boys had shown all their skill, guile and heart against the lads from Killorglin and they came out ahead….5-13 to 4-8.

Well done to all for gaining top position in their section in the County League! Éacht mór agus mórghaisce! Last Sunday evening, in Blennerville, we saw one of the best juvenile matches witnessed in many a long day. Our crack C squad showed the huge level of skill, drive and team spirit for which they are becoming increasingly renowned! Our C braves were in the ascendancy at the final hurdle! Our final A and B games against Dr Crócaigh Chill Airne on Wednesday marked the end of a highly successful Phase One of the County League. Results in next weeks notes.

PEIL FAOI 14: (i) The Tralee Town Board Suit Select Under 14 League (Division 1) Final between AdeS and V Ko’R will take place in Cahersalee at 6pm on Saturday 19th. Good luck, lads! All support welcome.

(ii) Thanks to all our bagpackers and to the management of Dunnes Stores for allowing us the fundraising opportunity on Saturday last. All help and support is greatly appreciated. Go raibh maith agaibh uile, a thuismitheoirí.

(iii) The semi-finals of the County League (Division 1) were played on Wednesday (16th) ….(a) Laune Rangers v Moyvane in Puck and (b) AdeS A v Gleann Fleisce in Barra Dubh. Thanks to those who provided lifts! We saw another great performance v Glenflesk on Tuesday evening, though we came up a little short on the scoreboard…3-08 to 2-10. Moyvane proved too strong for us the following evening winning on a scoreline of 4-14 to 1-04. Playing two high intensity games on consecutive evenings was a little too difficult.

(iv) Our B boys take on Ballymac B in the County League (Division 9) semi-final on Thursday (17th) at 7.00pm. We had defeated Na Crócaigh B…2-5 to 1-17…and had finished second in the league table and, so, Ballymac became our opponents. Laune Rangers have been pitted against Na Crócaigh in the other semi-final.

Our boys gave a fantastic performance against a very strong Dr Croke Club side with our lads kicking some excellent scores with and against a very strong breeze. D’imir siad i bPáirc Uí Chonghaile. Great heart was shown in the second half i gcoinne na gaoithe. ‘Well done’ to all! We also had a very convincing win over Legion. Some excellent football was played and a lot of very good scores were taken. What a great finish to our league campaigns with both teams qualifying for their respective County League semi-finals. Well done, all! Much credit deserved!

PEIL FAOI 16: (i) Traenáil mar is gnách Dé hAoine agus Dé Domhnaigh. (ii) We had a resounding win over Laune Rangers in the Central League semi-final on Monday week last and this has set us up for a final Castlegregory on May 21st. Up The Rock!

CAID FAOI 17: Go n-éirí go geal le Seán Cuiltéir agus leis na Ciarraígh óga v An Clár i gCraobhchluiche Peile na Mumhan i Mí an Mheithimh.

NA MIONÚIR: Good luck to our minors in the Division 1 League Final v Raonaithe na Leamhna ar an Aoine seo (19ú).
