Austin StacksFAOI 6: The Rock Under 6 footballers will be in action at 11am in Caherslee on Sunday. Our evening football sessions for the Under 6s will continue at 5.45pm on Thursday i bPáirc Uí Chonghaile. See you all, lads!

FAOI 8: We’ll be in Caherslee – Sunday ag 11am. The Under 8 Go Games Blitz will be held ag 6.15pm on Wednesday. The 4 local clubs will be involved.

FAOI 10: 11am football on Sunday next. No training this Thursday. Go games at Na Gaeil Club.
FAOI 12 – TURAS GO NÁS: We had a very successful trip to the Naas GAA Club on Sunday last for our first (and hopefully not our last) trip to their very impressive blitz tournament. With a 6:45am start and 9:30pm arrival home, it was a long day. So, ‘well done’ to all the players, parents and mentors who travelled. Best wishes to Caydon O’Mahomey who suffered an injury on the day.

AN FHÉILE PEILE – FAOI 14: (i) With less than three weeks to go until our footballers depart for Féile ’15 (26th June), the squad has been busy with challenge matches v Ennistymon of Clare last Wednesday (they are also travelling to the Féile Náisiúnta) and v Léigiún Chill Airne this Friday.

(ii) Fixtures (all teams have been confirmed) for division 1 group D: Austin Stack Club v Ballynastragh Gaels (Wexford) at 5pm in Dunlavin on Friday 26th; v Balyna (Kildare) at 6pm in Dunlavin. We’ll then have some R&R before playing our hosts St Nicholas’ at 11am on Saturday morning in Dunlavin.

Depending on our success in the group stages, we expect to travel to Carlow after lunch on Saturday (27th) for either a Cup quarter-final at 4.30pm or a Shield quarter-final at 3pm. All semi-finals and finals will take place at the Wexford Centre of Excellence in Ferns, Co Wexford, on Sunday. Fingers crossed…le cúnamh Dé!

(iii) Our Féile Fun table quiz will be held in the club house on Friday 19th with spots prizes go leor; this was one of the highlights of last year’s fundraising. Ya, it’s good fun! A table of four: £40.

(iv) We also hope to hand out the new Féile gear to the squad after the quiz…not only will we be one of the best teams ag an bhFéile Náisiúnta Peile but we will be the BEST ‘kitted out’ team in the competition!!

LÚITHCHLEASAÍ NA LÉIME FAIDE: ‘Well done’ to Tralee CBS student and Austin Stack Club footballer, Seán Quilter, won the Minor Long Jump in Tullamore recently. Comhghairdeachas, a Sheáin.
