HAPPY NEW YEAR: As 2017 gets underway let us wish all Club members, supporters, all in the local community and all readers of our Notes, both at home and abroad, a very happy and successful New Year. 2017 should be a busy one for the Club as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of our foundation.

THE CLUB AGM: takes place in the Clubrooms on Sunday next (8th Jan) at 12 noon.

CLUBHOUSE: As always the Clubhouse is available for all types of Parties. For Bookings, phone Maurice McNamara at 086 3747 642.

And as another year ends and the Christmas decorations come down let us thank Maurice and his bar staff, which includes Tara O’Brien, Vivien Zombor and, at times when they are required, men like Seán Somers and Conor Jordan, for their quiet efficiency at all times.

And our thanks to everyone for their help when special occasions take place like, for example, the U13 Lee Strand Tournament. And many who have frequented the Bar over the Christmas period have remarked on how well the place looks which was added to in no small way by that stunning Christmas tree put together, as usual, by Bernie Somers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Everyone in Kerry GAA and elsewhere will wish one of the greatest footballers of all time, Mick O’Connell, a very happy 80th birthday tomorrow (4th Jan).

BINGO: continues in our Clubhouse, Connolly Park, on this and every Saturday night, commencing at 8.30pm.
