MINOR FOOTBALL: As we outlined in last week’s Notes our MF committee, spearheaded by Mike Casey and Eamonn O’Reilly, are holding a function in the Clubhouse on this Friday night (27th Oct) at 8pm to honour past and present Club players who have won All Ireland Minor medals with Kerry since the first of their 15 All Ireland Final wins away back in 1931.

We outlined then that a total of twenty six Club players had won a total of 32 All Ireland medals. That was incorrect.

It should have been 27 players winning 34 medals. We omitted Seán Ryan who won a medal in 2014 and Ferdia O’Brien who won one in 2015.

Both these medals were won when both Seán and Ferdia were part of the extended Kerry panel  and extended panel players have been awarded official medals in the past few years.

That means Ferdia has two medals (he won his second in 2016) to join that elite group who have achieved that feat – Brendan Reidy (he has won 3), Frank O’Neill, John Paul Doyle, Henry McKinney and Jack Morgan.
