1977 REUNION: “The Stacks are Back, The Stacks are Back, Let the Railway End go Barmy, Hill 16 has never seen the Likes of Joe Joe’s Army’ – so sang the Rockie supporters 40 years ago and this Saturday night (Dec 2nd) in the Stacks Club that famous All Ireland Club Championship winning team will be remembered and honoured.

The line-up will be to quote another Rocky legend Martin ‘Bracker’ O’Regan quite simply  a ‘Galaxy of Stars’.

MC for the evening will be Radio Kerry’s Terrace Talk Presenter Tim Moynihan and we are delighted to confirm that our Juvenile Club President and Club PRO back in 1977 – Michéal Hayes will make the players presentations.

We will also have video footage from the 1976 Co. Final and the All Ireland Club final of ’77.  Throw in will be 8pm – it’s going to be a very special evening of great nostalgia and fun and we hope that as many members as possible will join us – a night not to be missed. Thanks to Club Secretary, Elma Nix, for this information.

MÁIRE BEAN UÍ GHRÍOFA: Cúis mhór bhróin do bhaill Chraobh Thrá Lí agus do bhaill Chomhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann is ea imeacht Mháire (Bean) Uí Ghríofa ar Shlí na Fírinne.

Duine de bhunaitheoirí na craoibhe seo againne ab ea í agus bhí sí dílis d’aidhmeanna CCÉ ar feadh a saoil fhada thorthúil. Bhí sí i gcónaí sásta an Ghaolainn a chur chun cinn agus, gan dabht, í a labhairt.

Bhí creideamh láidir aici….í dílis d’Aifreann Dé agus don gCoróin Mhuire go lá a báis.

Leaba i measc na Naomh is na nAingeal go raibh aici.

Thanks to our Scór Officer and Juvenile PRO, Brian Caball for the above tribute.

SYMPATHY:  Sincere sympathy is offered to the families of the following who died recently – Máire Griffin (Máire Bean Uí Ghríofa) (nee Conway), Ballinorig Road, Clash East (see above); and Henry Hilliard, Clogherbrien and formerly Listowel.
