SEASON’S GREETINGS: As these will be the last Senior Notes of the year we take this opportunity to wish all our members, supporters and readers of these Notes a very happy Christmas and a successful 2019.

CLUB AGM: The Senior Club’s AGM goes ahead in the Clubhouse on Sunday 6th January, 2019 at 12.00 noon.

CENTENARY BOOK: Copies of the Austin Stacks Centenary Book are now exclusively on sale at Paudie Commane’s Book Shop, Rock St. Tralee for the very special discounted price of just €15!! that’s a fantastic 40% off original retail price.  Copies also available to order online at this great price – books can be posted worldwide – an ideal Christmas gift for the GAA fan in your life.

HURLERS: Our Hurlers had their Christmas Party and Medal Presentation Night in the Clubhouse last Friday night (14th Dec) and, as usual with the Hurlers, a great night was had by all. One of the highlights of the evening was the announcement of the Players’ Player of the Year and very few were surprised with the selection.

Yes, it was none other than Paul Daly who was presented with the Andy McAllen Memorial Shield. And Paul also received trophies for being the Management Team’s Player of the Year and the top scorer by a country mile. Well done again Paul and well done to the whole squad for another great season. And as Team Captain and MC for the night, Tadhg Meehan said – ‘onwards and upwards’.

CLUBHOUSE: As always the Clubhouse is available for all types of Parties and Functions. Enquiries about Club Bookings should be made by contacting Harry Hynes at 087 2467286.

CARDS: Our Thursday night Card Sessions will continue without a break during the Christmas period but we will miss the next two Monday nights as they fall on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. So the next Monday night session will be on January 7th.

LOTTO: Last week’s (10th Dec) Jackpot, worth €10,000, was not won. The numbers drawn were 3, 9, 26, 30. The €20 winners were: Ricky Moloney and Brian & Susan Shanahan, both c/o The Club; Maggie Shortt and M. Ryle, both c/o Rock Street Post Office; and Kevin Madden, c/o Carmel O’Neill.

The Christmas Voucher, kindly sponsored by Terry Healy Butchers, was won by David Fitzmaurice, c/o The Club.
