SENIOR FOOTBALL: Back in Division 1 after a one year absence this season’s Co. League will involve six away trips and five at home.

We begin on 10th March with a home game against Kilcummin, who at that stage could be All Ireland Intermediate Club Champions, and who were the only team to beat us last season when both sides were in Div. 2. Our other four home games are as follows: – R3 Dr. Crokes (12th May); R5 Kerins O’Rahillys (9th June); R8 An Ghaeltacht (14th July) and R10 Spa (28th July).

Our six away games are as follows: – R2 Na Gaeil (24th March); R4 Rathmore (24th May); R6 Dingle (16th June); R7 Templenoe (30th June); R9 Legion (21st July) and R11 St. Marys (18th Aug or 8th Sept).

In the meantime we begin our season on Sunday next (27th Jan) when we play Na Gaeil in Connolly Park in round 1 of the Town League. Throw in at 12.30pm.

FUNDRAISER; Club Fundraising Clothes Recycling:  collection date is Sat Feb 9th so start collecting now. Anyone wishing to drop bags off to the clubhouse earlier can contact: 085 223 58 57.

LAST MAN STANDING NFL FUNDRAISER: It’s back by popular demand our National League Last Man Standing Competition – simply predict your team to win each week, remember you can only pick a team once. WELL DONE: to both Kilcummin and Beaufort on their All Ireland semi final wins yesterday. Both will now be travelling to Croke Park in just over a fortnights time (9th Feb) to contest their respective Finals, Kilcummin in the Intermediate and Beaufort in the Junior.

CLUBHOUSE: As always the Clubhouse is available for all types of Parties and Functions. Enquiries about Club Bookings should be made by contacting Harry Hynes at 087 2467286.

CARDS: The 45 Card Sessions continue in the Clubhouse on every Monday and Thursday nights, commencing at 9.30pm each night.

LOTTO: Last week’s (14th Jan) Jackpot, worth €10,250, was not won. The numbers drawn were 1, 20, 25, 28. The €20 winners were: Kay Dineen, c/o Carmel O’Neill; and Kieran O’Callaghan, Brian Delee, Michael Godley Snr. and Agnes Breen, all c/o The Club.

LottoTickets are on regular sale at the Rock Street Post Office and at the Stacks Clubhouse, as well as from our other regular outlets.
