PEIL FAOI 6 – NB – CHANGE OF VENUE: UNDER 6 boys (born in 2013/14) will continue their Sunday morning training in THE GREEN CBS Gym at 11am. All beginners most welcome. The reason for the change of venue is to facilitate the students who will be doing their mock examinations and we wish them well.

NOTA BENE – CHANGE OF VENUE – PEIL FAOI 8: The UNDER 8s (boys born in 2011/12) have a change of venue and will be in action in The Green CBS Gym on Sunday next at 12.00. We’re looking forward to another mighty session and if you haven’t joined yet, come along to THE GREEN Gym on Sunday. Beidh na bréagscrúduithe ar siúl i gCnoc an tSeabhaic.

PEIL FAOI 10: Sunday morning activity for the UNDER 10 boys will again be on The Green CBS Astroturf pitch at 11am. Anybody who hasn’t resumed yet this season or lads who might like to join The Rock will be most welcome.

CLOTHES for RECYCLING: This is the last reminder re the club’s latest fundraising effort….the clothes recycling collection day is Saturday next, 9ú Feabhra, idir 2pm agus 4pm. All clothes, etc, gratefully accepted. Glacfar le héadaí, bréagáin bhoga, bróga, málaí láimhe, criosanna, cuirtíní agus/nó tuáille. If you wish to leave bags of clothes, belts, soft toys, handbags, shoes, curtains and/or towels at the clubhouse before Saturday please ring 085 2235857. PEIL FAOI 12: Training as usual on Sunday next in Connolly Park for the UNDER 12 boys. Feel free to contact Liam on 0876189655 for details of training time or of the season’s plans/activities. Everybody welcome – fáilte roimh an domhan is a mháthair – new as well as established players – just come along to The Rock field.

FAOI 14: Our Under 14 lads made the annual ‘pilgrimage’ to Nemo Rangers last Saturday and had a very successful outing. To everybody’s delight, they reached the final but, unfortunately, lost to the hosts. More importantly, a great day was had by all! Thanks to the hosts for their hospitality. It’s a great tournament and we hope to be back in 2020!

SCÓR NA bPÁISTÍ: (i) The Scór na bPáistí (for primary school pupils) Tralee area final will be held on Wednesday March 13th in Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn, Ráth Rónáin. Club competitors are needed for figure dancing, set dancing, tráth na gceisteanna, rince ar an sean-nós (individual), ballad group, music group (4 or 5 musicans), recitation/storytelling and léiriú stáitse (sketch). Like to try it? We already have a brave volunteer for solo singing. (ii) The county semi-finals for North Kerry will be held on Saturday March 23rd at 4pm in St Joseph’s Secondary School, Castleisland.(iii) The semi-finals for the Southern Region will be held on Sunday March 24th in Halla Pobail na Faille Móire in Uíbh Ráthach ag 2pm. (iv) The county finals, including the QUIZ, have been provisionally fixed for Saturday April 6th in the Glenbeigh Community Centre. An mbeidh foireann quiz againn?

FAOI 16: We all look forward to another enjoyable and challenging training session on Sunday morning next. Everybody welcome agus fáilte roimh chách – new as well as all established players. Depending on availability of cars and on tide times, we may head for Banna Beach to do some beach running some Sunday mornings. We may have to change our training time due to the unavailability of pitches, etc. Expect WhatsApp and text to follow. So, a leaideanna, please bring runners as well as football boots. Expect text/WhatsApp re details.

FREWEN CUP: Mercy Mounthawk went down to a better ISK side in the Munster semi-final in Caherslee last Friday. Commiserations to Joey Nagle, Adam Curran, Shane Bastible and Dean Rusk. Beidh lá eile ag an bPaorach!

QUIZ – SENIOR SCÓR: The Kerry Scór quiz final is expected to take place on Friday March 8th in the Centre of Excellence (Ionad Barr Feabhais), Currow. All Clubs in Kerry are entitled to send a four (wo)man team to this table quiz and the winning team will go directly to the All-Ireland final which will take place in “The Travellers’ Friend” Theatre/Hotel, Castlebar, County Mayo, on Saturday February 16th. Just one step to an All-Ireland final!
