GOLF CLASSIC: After weeks of intense preparation by Club Treasurer, Niall Shanahan and his dedicated sub-committee it’s now all systems go for our Golf Classic which takes place on this Friday (April 5) at Tralee Golf Course.

SENIOR FOOTBALL: The Club Championship begins this weekend. Eight Clubs are involved at Senior level – divided into two groups of 4. We are in Group 1 along with Dingle, Kenmare Shamrocks and Kilcummin.

In group 2 we have Dr. Crokes, Kerins O’Rahillys, Legion and Rathmore.  The first of our three games goes ahead in Annascaul of this Sunday afternoon (7th April) at 2.30pm with Dingle the opposition. Round 2 then, which is fixed for the following week-end, depends on the results of round one. For example, the winner of our game against Dingle will play the loser of the Kenmare-Kilcummin game in round 2, and vice-versa.

MINOR FOOTBALL: Our 5th and final round of the Co. League, away to Na Gaeil did not go ahead as scheduled last Saturday but has been refixed for this Wednesday (3rd April) at 5.45pm and a win here would guarantee us a semi final spot against either Legion or Laune Rangers.

CONGRATULATIONS: to Kieran Donaghy and his Tralee Warriors on their outstanding performance last weekend culminating in winning the equivalent of the All Ireland title in Basketball .

LAST MAN STANDING WINNERS:  Congrats to Brian Morgan on winning our 2019 Last Man Standing €500 prize following a nail-biting finale last Sunday week.  Brian’s choice of Tyrone for the final game proved to be decisive as they clocked up 3-15 (24pts) to edge out Niall Roche, Dale Counihan and Mark the Dubs Kerry choice of 1-20 (23 pts).  In all 37 out a total entry of 308 managed to navigate their way to the final round but unfortunately found themselves standing with 36 others.  Thanks to everyone who supported this fundraiser for the club.

The final table top 10 was as follows: 1st Brian Morgan 125; J2nd Niall Roche, Dale Counihan and Mark the Dub 124; J5th Aidan O’Connor and Donal Morgan 122; J7th Tommy Naughton and Noreen Power121; and J9th  John Joe Sugrue and Eoin Kelliher 120.
