CORONAVIRUS – COVID 19: We continue to remind readers that any family members who are in need of help may contact or text Ciara at 086 0690145 or Wayne at 087 6283308 and a member of our team will be in contact.

SENIOR FOOTBALL: In a normal year at the end of March we would have played six games at this stage  – that’s four Town League games and two Co. League games. To date we have just played two, winning both – one in the Town League against Ballymac and the other in the Co. League against Kenmare.

MINOR FOOTBALL: Our Minors on the other hand have fared much worse than our Seniors. By now they should have had eight games under their belts – three Town Leagues and five Co. Leagues. All they have played so far is two games – a Town League game against Ballymac which was drawn and a Co. League game against Laune Rangers which they lost.

CLUBHOUSE: Our Bar and Clubhouse remain closed until further notice.

CARDS: Likewise our 45 Card Sessions on Monday and Thursday nights are also on hold.

LOTTO: Our Lotto is also out of action for the time being.

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS: to former Club Footballer Pa Fitzgerald who celebrated his 88th birthday on Sunday last (29th March). Pa, along with his Club colleagues the late Kevin Barry, Paddy O’Donnell and Bobby Miller, was a member of Kerry’s Minor Football winning side of 1950 and of course was also a great greyhound enthusiast down the years. Belated happy birthday to you Pa from everyone in the Club and in the local community.

SYMPATHY:  Sincere sympathy is offered to the families of the following who died recently – Tom Lally, Caherslee and formerly Athlone (father of former Club Footballers, Martin and Brian); Mary B McShane (nee Lacey), New York and formerly Kevin Barry’s Villas; Denis O’Dowd, Riverside, Oakpark and formerly Abbeydorney (father of former Club Footballer, John); and John McCarthy, Cois Lí, Ballyvelly and formerly Beenoskee, Ballyard.
