COVID UPDATED GUIDANCE: The GAA’s Covid Advisory committee have issued updated guidance to all clubs in relation to attendance at underage games. This advice is based on updated guidelines issued on behalf of the Government by Sport Ireland:
Clubs should note that:
No more than 1 designated individual should attend a training session or game per child/family/group of children.
The GAA Health Questionnaires MUST be completed by parents/guardians in advance of attendance.
Overall numbers should be kept to a minimum and in line with the space available in the venue/facility.
Parents are NOT permitted to be in attendance at adult games where their child (U18) is participating. However, provision can be made to allow an adult to be in close proximity (e.g. in the car park etc) in case medical or other emergency needs require their presence.
It has also been clarified that a parent/guardian attending an underage game in these circumstances shall NOT be subject to vetting as they are only the supervisor in a guardianship role for their own child and not any other child on the team.

SENIOR FOOTBAL: The Roddy O Donnell Senior Championship sponsored by Lee Strand has been provisionally fixed for the weekend after next (12th/13th Sept).

With four teams competing the semi final line-up sees Mitchels against O’Rahillys while we play Ballymac. The date and venue have to be confirmed as we write.

It is also expected that the Club Championship Final between ourselves and Kenmare Shamrocks will be played during this month also.
Congratulations to Joseph O’Connor who deservedly was chosen at centrefield on the Co. Championship team of the first round.

B FOOTBALL: After our excellent win against Dr. Crokes in the opening round of the Co. League we now have a home game against Rathmore in round 2 of the competition on this Friday evening ( 4th Sept). Please note the throw-in time is 6.30pm. The 3rd and final round takes place on Friday week (11th Sept), away to Gneeveguilla.

THE C TEAM: are also on Co. League duty this week-end but the game has been switched to Sunday  (6th Sept) with Listowel agreeing to play this round 2 game in Connolly Park (it was a home game for Listowel). Throw-in is at 2pm. Then in the 3rd and final round on the following Friday (11th Sept) we play Annascaul, again in Connolly Park.

MINOR FOOTBALL: After their draw away to Castlegregory in the opening round (17th July) and the walk-over against Na Gaeil in round 2 of the Co. League our Minors were due to play An Ghaeltacht in the 3rd and final round of the competition in Connolly Park on this coming week-end but the West  Kerry side have also informed us that they cannot field a team on this occasion and have given us another walk-over.

CHAIRMAN’S APPEAL: Club Chairman, Billy Ryle is continuing to appeal to Rockies everywhere to continue making  donations to the fund to help build the path with disability access. The new path will prevent footfall damage on the pitches. It will also facilitate disability access to the far terrace in Connolly Park for those who are wheelchair bound or unsteady on their feet. The Árd Charraig terrace in Connolly Park is more sheltered with sun, rain and wind at your back. Billy would like it to be accessible to all supporters.
Every single donation, big or small, will be gratefully received. Please, also share the link with as many people as possible. The donation facility will remain open for the next few weeks. Please donate and share the link, https://www.gofundme.com/f/the-bracker-100km..
