Happy New Year:  Club Chairman, Billy Ryle, wishes a Happy New Year to club members and supporters everywhere. Sincere thanks to everybody, who served Austin Stacks in any capacity during the year as administrators, team officials, volunteers and players.

The Club is eagerly looking forward to 2021 and the resumption of activity on the playing field.  Members can play an important part in the ongoing development and successes of the club at all levels by taking on an active role in administration and team mentoring at whatever level they feel comfortable.

Billy is encouraging all members to participate in the Austin Stack Club Annual General Meeting which goes ahead virtually on 13th January.  Please stay safe and well during the holiday period and continue to comply fully with the NPHET and GAA health guidelines as all Austin Stack Club members have done so diligently during this difficult year of coronavirus.

AGM: Due to Covid 19 restrictions and following guidance from Croke Park, this year’s club AGM will be held virtually via Microsoft teams on Wednesday 13th January, 2021 at 7.30pm.  If you wish to participate please email secretary.austinstacks.kerry@gaa.ie and a link “to join the meeting” on January 13th will be emailed to you.

All those participating will receive copies of the 2019 minutes, Agenda, Secretary’s Report & Finance report in advance. To help manage the meeting in this forum we recommend that any queries/comments regarding the various reports be submitted by email prior to the meeting so that they can be addressed on the night of the AGM.

Kerry Minors:  Well done to the Kerry minors on another brilliant performance last week in the Munster Final .

The team had a great win over a gallant Clare side on a damp and wet night in Limerick’s Gaelic Grounds and what a performance by our 2 men on the starting fifteen, Joey Nagle & Armin Heinrich, playing full back and centre back, holding the opposition to just 1 goal and 7 points tells its own story.

And it’s often said that a team is only as good as it’s panel which contains 5 more of our lads – Ben Quilter, Jordan Kissane, Conor Horan, Shane Bastible and Dean Rusk.  This was Kerry’s 8th consecutive minor final win in Munster and the 49th title in total since the 1st one way back in 1931.  They now play Roscommon in the All Ireland Semi Final in early 2021 on a date yet to be confirmed.

Online Club Shop:  A full range of official Austin Stacks Merchandise – jerseys, shorts, hoodies, jackets – kids, ladies, men’s is available to purchase online from our O’Neill’s Sport online shop – see shop link on home page of club website www.austinstacks.ie
