CLUB AGM: DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS AND FOLLOWING GUIDANCE FROM CROKE PARK, THIS YEAR’S CLUB AGM WILL BE HELD VIRTUALLY VIA MICROSOFT TEAMS ON WEDNESDAY 13TH JANUARY, 2021 AT 7.30PM.

All those participating will receive copies of the 2019 minutes, Agenda, Secretary’s Report, Finance Report & Chairman’s report in advance. To help manage the meeting in this forum we recommend that any queries/comments regarding the various reports be submitted by email prior to the meeting so that they can be addressed on the night of the AGM.

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS: to the one and only Tim Tiger Slattery who celebrates a significant one on this Tuesday (12th Jan). Happy birthday Tim from everyone in the Club and elsewhere.
JANUARY FOOTBALL: No – we are not about to announce January Football this year but of course we did play football many times in the past during the first month of the year. In our 93 seasons to date (1928 – 2020) in the Co. SF Championship we have played a total of 258 games but only on one occasion did we play a game in January.
And that was the 1931 Co. Final which was played in the Sportsfield (later that year to be named The Austin Stack Park) on Sunday, 10th January 1932. The Kerryman report the following week said that a huge crowd and delightful weather favoured the game (come back 1932, all is forgiven). Boherbee were ahead at the break (1-2 to 0-3) but we were in total command during the second half, outscoring the opposition by 2-4 to 0-1 to end the game with seven points to spare (2-7 to 1-3) to collect our third Co. Championship title in four seasons (1928,1930,1931).

CLUB LOTTO: Just a reminder that our Club Lotto has been put on hold until the first Monday of next month at least, but this will be subject to continuing Health restrictions which of course could be prolonged further than 1st February.
