SENIOR FOOTBALL: This season’s Co. League will be curtailed to take account of the time lost due to the lockdown. Divisions one to five will be divided into two groups of six with each team playing five games in each round. Our Senior are in division 1A along with Dingle, Dr. Crokes, John Mitchels, Kilcummin and Spa Killarney. Division 1B will consist of An Ghaeltacht, Beaufort, Kenmare Shamrocks, Kerins O’Rahillys, Killarney Legion and Rathmore. The top team in each division will contest the League Final. As usual three teams will be relegated to Division 2 for next season – the two bottom teams in each group and a play-off between the second last teams in both Div. IA and Di. 1B. Clubs have yet to be notified of specific dates and times.

Well done to the Kerry Footballers on that brilliant display in the opening round of the NFL in Austin Stack Park last Saturday afternoon – defeating Galway by 4-21 to 0-11. Great to see our own Joseph O’Connor on the Kerry panel. And congratulations also to Conor Jordan who has been added to the Clare SF panel for the coming season. Conor’s father George, who played both Hurling and Football with the Rock in the late nineties/early naughties, is a Clare man of course.

B FOOTBALL: Our B team are in Division 5A of the League together with Ballyduff, Kilgarvan, Killarney Legion B, Moyvane and St. Michaels/Foilmore. The same procedure with regard to promotion and relegation will apply as in Div. 1.
