THE CO. SF FINAL: Congrats to East Kerry on their Co. Final victory last Sunday.  They now join three other teams who have won 10 titles each – Laune Rangers (1889-1996), John Mitchels (1929-1966) and South Kerry (1955-2015). Dr. Crokes (1901-2018) and ourselves (1928-2021) still lead the honours list  with 13 titles each.

JOHN LYNCH TOURNAMENT: Well done to everyone involved in the running of the 6th Annual John Lynch Memorial Tournament last Saturday which was another resounding success (see Juvenile Notes). The late John, of course, was father of our current Club Chairman, Shane and our former Club Chairman, Liam.

CIAN PURCELL: Like his colleague Joseph O’Connor a few weeks ago Cian Purcell has also had a very successful operation in Santry last week. Everyone in the Club sends their best wishes to you Cian and look forward to seeing you back in action in 2023.

CLUB CARDS: Our Card sessions continue in the Clubhouse on Monday and Thursday nights with the starting time at 9pm sharp.

CLUB LOTTO: This week’s (31st Oct) Jackpot, worth €2,500 was not won. The numbers drawn were 6, 7, 18, 26. The €20 winners were Ann & Seán Myers, Eugene Lee and Eugene Lee, all c/o The Club; and Denis O’Sullivan and Shane O’Brien, both c/o Carmel O’Neill.

Next Week’s Jackpot will be worth €2,550.

Anthony Cecil Johnston, Dún Laoghaire, Raheny and formerly Castle Countess; Eoin Walsh (son of David and Justine and nephew of John, Tim and  Niamh Collins); Kay Long (nee McNamara), Kevin Barry’s Villas; TJ O’Connor, Spa Road and formerly Gortatlea (one of the great GAA referees of his day); Seán Mallon, Lioscarraig Drive and Pádraig Harnett, Currans and Killarney (Radio Kerry’s outstanding Soccor Broadcaster and Tralee Advertiser’s correspondent in charge of all Club Notes ).
