CONGRATULATIONS: to Kerins O’Rahillys on their Munster Club Final victory over Newcastle West in Mallow last Saturday (10th Dec).
After a tightly-fought game the Strand Rd. boys emerged winners with one point to spare (2-6 to 1-8). They become the 7th Kerry victors in the competition alongside Dr. Crokes with 8 wins, ourselves, Desmonds and Laune Rangers with two wins each and East Kerry and An Ghaeltacht with one win each.
They will now meet the Dublin champions – Kilmacud Crokes in the semi final. Crokes have won the final on two occasions – in 1995 and 2009. The only other time they reached the final since then was last season when they just lost by one point to Kilcoo, the Down champions. And Kilcoo lost their Ulster title to the Derry champions, Glen, on Sunday last.
So a great opportunity for O’Rahillys to progress to the final on this occasion.
And it turned out to be a brilliant weekend for two other Kerry Clubs as Rathmore (Intermediate) and Fossa (Junior) also won their respective Munster titles. Congratulations to both Clubs on their impressive wins.

CLUB CARDS: Our Card sessions continue in the Clubhouse on Monday and Thursday nights with the starting time at 9pm sharp. We will just miss one night over the Christmas period and that will be on Monday week (St. Stephen’s Night).
