Austin Stacks CrestCAMPA PEILE: Our club football camp will be held next week (9.30am to 1pm)…from Tuesday (2nd) to Saturday (6th). Fáilte roimh chách. Just come along! Costas: €40 per person; €60 for family. It’ll be great!!

PEIL FAOI 6/8: (i) More great Football on Sunday at 11am and (ii) on Thursday at 5.45pm in Caherslee.

PEIL FAOI 8: Our Under 8 footballers enjoyed a marvellous day of action at the John Mitchel Club Tournament on Saturday last (23rd). A great day of exciting football was had by all.

Our team played brilliantly in non-competitive games and had great success against Na Gaeil, Keel, Ballymac, Castleisland Desmonds and Beale and, ní nach ionadh, all players represented The Rock with great skill and spirit.

The John Mitchel Club Tournament is one of the highlights of the year for the Under 8s and we are again grateful to the JM Club representatives, Kevin McMahon and his committee, for organising a most enjoyable day.

Thanks also to Kirby’s Brogue Inn for supplying much appreciated sustenance for players and mentors during the break between the third and fourth rounds. ‘Grma’ to our own mentors, parents and supporters.

PEIL FAOI 10: Football in Caherslee (i) at 11am on Sunday and (ii) at 5.45pm on Thursday. (iii) Everyone is looking forward to our August bank holiday trip to Baile Átha Cliath.

(iv) Our lads had a fantastic day at the annual JM Club Blitz: They played outstandingly, stole the show and captured the big prize for the 2ndyear in succession.

‘Well done’ to Kevin and his JMC team…a fantastic tournament once again ag Na Mistéalaigh! ‘Thanks’ to our own dedicated, enthusiastic and professional mentors who looked after our boys so well throughout the day.

PEIL FAOI 12/13: (i) Training will take place on Tuesday and on Thursday from 5.30pm to 6.45pm.

(ii) Our boys had a fine victory over Na Gaeil on Sunday evening last in Round 3 of the Under 13 Town League.

They’ve now booked their place in the final. Great football was played! Josh Lynch opened the scoring with as good a point as you’d ever see, a goal from the hard working Evan Foley followed and James Charles kept the scoreboard ticking over with a tally of 1-4. Half-time score: 3-6 to 0-2. Terrific defending from Caoimhín de Barra, Cian Ó Duilleáin and Micael Lesniak kept us well on top in the second half. A good team performance was topped off by the return from injury of Donncha Sayers who scored 3 fine points. Full time score: 3-11 to 0-6.

PEIL FAOI 14: In the Kelliher’s Toyota (Tralee) Central Region Division 1 semi-finals (i) Na Gaeil played AdeS agus (ii) bhí G/G/Cromane in aghaidh na Gaeltachta. The games were played on Monday last (25th).

PEIL FAOI 16: (i). In the Lee Strand Under 16 County Football League (Roinn 8) the Bs played at home v the Dr. Croke Club Bs on Friday last (22nd).

(ii) Our B boys had no match on July 27th as Killorglin withdrew.

(iii) Our As played v Cordal/Scart in Scartaglin (20ú) and were ahead at the final hurdle in a great game. Score- AdeS: 4-9; Cordal/Scart: 2-12. Wow! Well done, boys!

KERRY v CLARE: (i) Good wishes to ‘Star’ and The Kingdom (v The Banner) in Croke Park!

(ii) Good luck to the Kerry Juniors and to our own Michael O’Donnell. Lean leat, a Mhíchíl!
