2019: Best wishes for 2019 to everybody in the club and good luck to all our students as they head back to their desks in school or in college, srl.

FAOI 6/8/10: The U6/8/10 season will commence on Sunday January 13th. Everybody ready for a new football year? (i) As usual, we’ll be heading to the Mounthawk Gym with the UNDER 6s (boys born in 2013/14) and there they’ll begin their new season at 11am. (ii) The UNDER 8s will play at 12.00 (boys born in 2011/12) in the Mounthawk Gym. (iii) The UNDER 10 stars, however, will be in action at a different venue; they’ll train on The Green CBS Astroturf pitch at 11am. Go n-éirí go geal libh go léir!

AGM: Our JUVENILE Cruinniú Cinn Bhliana (Annual General Meeting) will take place at 7pm on Tuesday January 8th. Please, come along and support our hard-working coiste oibre and our reliable and enthusiastic mentors. All, including parents and older players, are encouraged to attend and everyone will be welcome. New people welcome. Your attendance will be greatly appreciated. Fáilte roimh chách.

FAOI 14: Our under 14 boys will return to training in the next few weeks as we look forward to our Annual trip to Nemo Rangers, Cork, at the end of January. No resting on laurels for these young men of action!! Are we thinking about the first trophy of the season? Nemo, here we come! Do you know that ‘nemo’ is the Latin for ‘nobody’?

SCÓR na nÓG: Best wishes to our club’s 4-person quiz team which will be in action at 7pm on Friday 18th January in Currans (san Ionad Barr Feabhais). The Kerry quiz victors will go directly to the All-Ireland final. Beidh Craobh na hÉireann ar siúl i gCaisleán an Bharraigh, Contae Mhaigh Eo, i Mí Feabhra.

CORN UÍ MHUIRÍ: Good luck to the Tralee CBS footballers in their Munster quarter final game v Coláiste Bhréanainn, Cill Airne, on 16th January. Is cluiche ‘ollmhór’ é seo!! The Rock players on The Green team are Seán Cuiltéir, Eoin Ó Cearúill, Dónal Ó Ruairc, Tomás Ó Fearaíl, Ben Cuiltéir, Jordan Ó Cíosáin, Armin Heinrick and Conchúr Ó Mír.

ONLY 32 ALL-IRELANDS? It was decided several years ago to plant a tree in The Green, our town park, in memory of each of Kerry’s All-Ireland victories. The straight line of trees stretches from the Presentation School gate to the rose garden. However, the plan has, seemingly, been forgotten! The trees ‘tell’ us that The Kingdom has won 32 All-Irelands from 1891 to 1997! 6 trees are ‘missing’?

CEIST: What counties won the senior All-Ireland finals of 1891 (hurling and football)?

AGM: Our SENIOR Cruinniú Cinn Bhliana (Annual General Meeting) will take place at 12.00 on Sunday January 6th. Parents and players (minor, Under 20 and senior hurlers and footballers) are encouraged to attend, thus supporting our coiste oibre and our hard-working trainers and mentors. An-fháilte roimh chách. Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine!
